Painted en plein air at the Jan Mayen boat café in Katajanokka, this work captures a quiet harbor moment just as it was unfolding. The weather was moody and damp, the air heavy with sea mist, and everything moved a little slower. I painted directly by the water, letting the shifting light, the muted colors, and the calm rhythm of the harbor guide each brushstroke. It's a small memory of standing there, feeling the cold air, listening to the boats, and watching the harbor breathe.
